Creating engaging customer experiences using UI micro-interactions
Context
Compare the Market wanted to spice up their in-app insurance quote comparison experience and make the process visually more engaging and user-friendly. I designed and animated concepts with micro-interactions.
Brief
I was given a high level brief from the creative directors to create playful UI animations for filtering insurance quotes by various categories, and allowing users to easily sort their results.
My role
I was the sole UI designer on this project. Using the brief and Compare the Market's brand guidelines, I created the UI designs for each concept before animating them in Principle. I leveraged existing user patterns from other apps to give users interactions that may feel familiar to them, such as the like/dislike sorting pattern from Tinder.
